Brief
I was recommended to Abi by a previous client of mine. Abi is a successful London-based voice over artist and required a brand new one page website to showcase her work. Abi had strong ideas on how the website should convey her outgoing personality and wanted to be funky, hip and retro.
I came up with an idea of using retro appliances for the link buttons and creating a virtual tape-deck complete with spinning tape wheels, using javascript and CSS, as an audio player. It was a big challenge but something I was very keen to incorporate and Abi was as happy as I was with the finished effect. Strong, bold and bright colours were used in the scheme and for the logo as a visual representation of Abi’s personality.
We have developed the website over the years to include an embedded YouTube player with a retro telly mask as well as making the website responsive.
